The Holkar dynasty ruled as Maratha Rajas and and after it become Maharajas of Indore. The Holkar Maharaja was a Independent member of the Maratha Empire until 1818, and after that it become a princely state under the protectorate of British India.

In Indore one of the most famous place known as Kanch Ka Mandir (The Temple of Glass), this  is a Jain Temple built by Shri Seth Hukumchand Jain. The construction was began around 1903. There are some other Temples in India also known as Kanch ka Mandir, all of them are Jain Temple, there is the list of Kanch ka Mandir.
Kanch ka Mandir Kanpur, Vrindavan, Shivpuri, Champanery etc.

In Indore Kanch ka mandir is in Itwaria Bazar, this temple also known as The Shish Mahal the temple is built by using white stone, in this architecture they built as a medieval mansion complete with a canopied balcony and shikhara, and the interior of the Kanch ka Mandir is entirely covered by glass panels and mozaics including columns, floor, all walls and the ceilings. The ornamentation follow the old and medieval Jain style, the major innovation being used of multicolored glass and mirrrors. To make a infinite image effect in the main Garbhagriha, the idols of the Tirthankaras are flanked with the mirrors on both side, more then 50 panels created by using multicolored mirror pieces illustrate. There are also Jain festivals celebrated with great enthusiasm on Sugandh Dashmi at the Kanch Ka Mandir, special mandalas are constructed by using multicolored Rice-Powder.

The maximum Industry of Indore situated in Pithampur about 50 km in west. And in Pithampur there is a place called Indorama where my company Shakti Pumps is situated, in this company I am in R&D Department, my work is quite interesting and hopefully I am enjoying it.

With work, I am also enjoying Indore and this Sunday I went to khajrana mandir Indore it is situated in the middle of Indore, this temple is dedicated to the Hindu God "Shi Ganesh ji" and the histy of the temple is about 300 years old, It is believed that in order to safe guard the idol from Aurangzeb, the idol was hidden in a well and in 1735, it was taken out from the well and thereafter, the temple was established by Ahilyabai Holkar of the Holkar dynasty of the Maratha Empire.

This Temple is equally famous in India as well as in abroad also. And the most interesting thing about the temple is that  this temple is regularly receives money, gold, diamonds and other precious jewels as well in the form of donation. The gate of the temple and the outer wall and the upper wall of the Garbhagriha are made of Silver and different moods and festivals are depicted on it. The eyes of the deity are made of Diamonds which were donated by one of the business man of Indore.

JAI JWALA MAA !!!                JAI JWALA MAA!!!                 JAI JWALA MAA!!!

Hi Friends this time my journey to Dev Bhumi Himachal Prdesh, today 24/8/2014, 5:30 pm I have started my journey for Himachal Prdesh. Actually I have an exam for Ph.D. at NIT Hamirpur (H.P.), so I have to reach at NIT before 9:00 am , I was a little nervous because I had no time to spend some where else, And when I reach to kashmere gate isbt there was no bus to Hamirpur, but wait I asked at the HRTC counter and I got a hope there, the man on the counter he was saying that don't you worry there will be bus at 7:45 pm to Hamirpur and it will drop you there around 6:00 am in the morning. Now I am totally relaxed and waiting for bus.

Now I am in the bus on my seat, and there is also a guy from Indian Army (NSG Commando) next to my seat so it was wonderful time because this guy from Himachal Prdesh and NIT Hamirpur is in his way, so now he is going to guide me up to NIT. And he is also very nice guy we discussed a lot during the journey on different topics. And when we reach to Hamirpur he take me to the NIT in another bus and he also told me that if you have any problem you can call me any time, and then with the handshake we sad bye-bye to each other. Now I am at the main gate of NIT Hamirpur.

And I am moving to fined my friend in NIT, and after walking few minutes I find him, he is Nitesh Sharma doing Ph.D. in Chemistry from NIT Hamirpur.

Now this time to go for exam, and after completing my exam  I meet my other friend Ashish, he is also doming Ph.D.  and he take me to his hostel for lunch and in the evening I also meet to my friend Dineshwar and we together see the beautiful campus of NITH.

Now this time for result, I have qualified for the second round and second round is in the next morning, in the next morning I have completed my second round and then in the afternoon, I have decided to visit Jwalaji madir, it is 58 km from Hamirpur in kangra district.
 Jai jwala maa!!

Historically; shrines dedicated to Jwala Ji were based on fissures from which natural gas seeped by itself. The number of flames is usually either seven (for the seven divine sisters) or nine (for the nine Durgas) several schools of Buddhism also share the symbolism of a seven-forked sacred flame.

In this temped there is a chatra!!

Picture of Chatra
Story about chatra: The King AKBAR offered this Chatra to Jwala Mata Ji. This was supposed to be Gold Chatra, but, as per the story, because of Akbar's ego, it was not accpted by Jwala Mata Ji and it fell, broke and the gold changed into a strange metal, which till today nobody knows what metal is that. This Chatra is kept in a clear see inside the temple.

After Devi Darshan I just take a bus to the Delhi. bye bye Himachal !!!!
